Consultant
• Conducted interviews with high-level public officials from Dominica, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) to assess CRVS and ID systems and opportunities for integration, digitalization and interoperability with other public registries, both nationally and regionally
• Prepared mission reports on national and regional current situation, opportunities and challenges of CRVS and ID systems, as well as actionable recommendations
Consultant - Lead Researcher
• Identified and assessed legislation and practices regarding legal recognition of gender identity by civil registration and identification agencies in Latin America and the Caribbean
• Conducted interviews with high-level public officials from over 15 national and sub-national governments, and with LGBTQ+ civil society organizations and trans activists
• Authored a report the provides a regional overview on legislation and practices in light of Inter-American human rights standards
Lead Researcher for Latin America
• Planned and conducted field missions to Peru and Ecuador to assess policies of integration of civil registration and vital statistics systems with identification systems in each country
